It seems like only yesterday that I was sat in a lecture on branding listening to how as an organisation; everything you are, everything you do and everything you say (and also what you don’t) contribute to brand image and value. Everybody is aware of the marketing gurus that capture the perfect image or write the perfect copy to make you WANT that certain brand. Just as they have considered everything from lighting to font, so must you. But what about personal branding in a job search? Every facet of your professional self will either add value to, or detract from your personal brand; making you more or less hireable to would-be employers. It shouldn’t be ignored.
